Tenor Samuel Boden makes his Australian début singing the title role of Rameau Pigmalion with Pinchgut Opera. Crystal Manich directs the production and the performances on June 15, 17, 18 & 20 at the City Recital Hall, Sydney are conducted by Erin Helyard.
Samuel Boden sings Abaris in Rameau’s Les Boréades from this summer’s Aix-en-Provence Festival on BBC Radio 3. Tenor Samuel Boden sings the role of Mercure in what promises to be a spectacular production of Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie at Glyndebourne. The first night is June 29 and performances continue until August 18. Having sung Hippolyte in concert earlier this year, Sam will add other major Rameau roles from Les Boréades and Les Indes Galantes to his repertoire with future appearances in Aix-en-Provence and Munich. Next season he makes his Royal Opera début in the title role of Cavalli’s L’Ormindo.
Tenor Samuel Boden will sing Hippolyte in Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie on February 11 at the Auditorium, Bordeaux and February 13 at the Opéra Royal, Versailles. Raphaël Pichon directs Ensemble Pygmalion.
