Conductor “[Nicholas] Kraemer has a special feel for Handel, making him one of the most authoritative Handelians in today’s early-music world... The stylish and trusty hand of principal guest conductor Nicholas Kraemer was evident in the symmetry of the programming as well as in the invigorating musical results… No texture was under-articulated, no dance movement under-characterized.” Chicago Classical Review of Plus Fours! Handel, Telemann, Locatelli, Vivaldi with Music of the Baroque. The concert is available to view on demand until June 12.
Nicholas Kraemer conducts the English Chamber Orchestra and Voces 8 with Carolyn Sampson, Iestyn Davies, Andrew Staples and Matthew Brook at Cadogan Hall, London. With the young artists of British Youth Opera Nicholas Kraemer will conduct the European premier of The Enchanted Island, a pasticcio of works by Handel, Vivaldi, Rameau and others set to a libretto by Jeremy Sams which was premiered at The Metropolitan Opera in 2010. The performances take place at the Peacock Theatre, London on September 1, 5 & 7 in a production by Stuart Barker.
