Polly Graham stages Return of Ulysses at Longborough

Director Polly Graham, Artistic Director of Longborough Festival Opera, appears as a guest on BBC Radio 3 In Tune on July 9. Her staging of Monteverdi The Return of Ulysses will be performed in the Big Top at the festival on July 13, 15, 17 & 18. Conducted by CPM artist Robert Howarth the production also features tenor Andrew Irwin as Telemaco. View Graham’s short animated film here.

Robert Howarth Opernhaus Zurich debut

Conductor Robert Howarth will make his Opernhaus Zurich début conducting Monteverdi’s Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria. He takes over at short notice for the production by Willy Decker with an all-star cast that includes Kurt Streit and Sara Mingardo. Performances on May 17, 21, 23, 28, 30, June 1, 5, 7, 11 & 14.
