Sarah Fahie, choreographerMovement director Sarah Fahie’s work will be on display in  Richard Jones’ new production of Der Rosenkavalier at Glyndebourne. Opening on May 17, there are further performances on May 21, 24, 29, June 1, 5, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26 & July 3. Robin Ticciati conducts and the production will be broadcast live in cinemas on June 8 and will be streamed on the Telegraph website at the same time.

Samuel Boden at Glyndebourne

Samuel Boden TenorTenor Samuel Boden sings the role of Mercure in what promises to be a spectacular production of Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie at Glyndebourne. The first night is June 29 and performances continue until August 18. Having sung Hippolyte in concert earlier this year, Sam will add other major Rameau roles from Les Boréades and Les Indes Galantes to his repertoire with future appearances in Aix-en-Provence and Munich. Next season he makes his Royal Opera début in the title role of Cavalli’s L’Ormindo.

Samuel Boden’s Glyndebourne debut

Tenor Samuel Boden will make his Glyndebourne début on July 20 in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen with performances to August 26. Full details of Jonathan Kent’s production conducted by Laurence Cummings can be found at http://glyndebourne.com/production/fairy-queen. The performance on July 22 will be broadcast online at 18.00 BST.

New signing

We are delighted to announce the addition of soprano Helen-Jane  Howells to our list. Following successful performances as Eve in Jonathan Kent’s production of  The Fairy Queen at Glyndebourne and with Les Arts Florissants at the Opéra Comique and Caen, Helen-Jane will tour with the show to Brooklyn Academy of Music, New York later in March. Her other projects include appearances with The Academy of Ancient Music and Florilegium before returning to Glyndebourne as Amor L’Incoronazione di Poppea for their autumn tour. More …
