Congratulations to Two CPM artists who feature on winning discs at the 2010 Gramophone Awards: Cyndia Sieden with her portrayal as Ariel in Thomas Adès The Tempest on EMI and Helen-Jane Howells as Eve in the DVD of Glyndebourne’s production of The Fairy Queen on Opus Arte.

For many, the most memorable writing in The Tempest comes attached to Ariel’s vocal high-wire act. Few coloratura sopranos are able to dispatch it like Cyndia Sieden, whose sound lends special colour to the performance” Gramophone
