Following great success as Gluck’s Orphée with the company in 2015 tenor Samuel Boden returned to sing the title role of Monteverdi L’Orfeo with the Nederlandse Reisopera in January this year. The complete performance is available on Operavision until January 2021. With his flexible tenor and athletic posture, Samuel Boden proved a perfect fit for the role of Orfeo, offering unfailingly stylish singing in the midst of the demanding choreographed moves. Tenor Samuel Boden sings Oronte in James Darrah’s production of Alcina at the International Handel Festival, Karlsruhe from February 23 to March 1 with Andreas Spering conducting. Following which he will reprise the role of Orphée in Gluck Orphée et Euridice for a semi-staged performance in Moscow on March 5 with Musica Viva under the baton of Alexander Rudin.
