Samuel Boden takes the title role of Cavalli’s L’Ormindo in Kasper Holten’s new production for the Royal Opera at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, London with Christian Curnyn conducting. Tenor Samuel Boden sings the role of Mercure in what promises to be a spectacular production of Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie at Glyndebourne. The first night is June 29 and performances continue until August 18. Having sung Hippolyte in concert earlier this year, Sam will add other major Rameau roles from Les Boréades and Les Indes Galantes to his repertoire with future appearances in Aix-en-Provence and Munich. Next season he makes his Royal Opera début in the title role of Cavalli’s L’Ormindo.
