Nicholas Kraemer returns to Chicago Symphony

Kraemer returns to the orchestra following successful collaborations with the group directing Bach, Telemann, Haydn and Richard Strauss. This time he leads an all-Handel programme including the Music for the Royal Fireworks and Silete Venti with soprano Amanda Forsythe.

Fehr and Kraemer collaborate on new Ariodante in Glasgow

Wigtastic HandelHarry Fehr’s new production of Handel Ariodante conducted by Nicholas Kraemer  for Scottish Opera opens at the Theatre Royal, Glasgow on February 16. There with further performances on February 18, 20 – Glasgow and February 24 & 27 –  Festival Theatre, Edinburgh. Yannis Thavoris designs this second Handel opera to a text by Ariosto that Harry has directed for the company, following the great success of Orlando.

Fehr and Kraemer collaborate again

Wigtastic HandelDirector Harry Fehr and conductor Nicholas Kraemer join forces for a new production of Handel’s Ariodante in Scottish Opera’s 2015/16 season, details just announced. They last collaborated on the critically acclaimed Buxton Festival production of La Finta Giardiniera in 2013.

Having recently turned 70, Nicholas will be discussing the stylistic developments he has witnessed over his long career. He will also preview his forthcoming concert with the English Chamber Orchestra on April 14 at Cadogan Hall, London when he will be joined by pianist Imogen Copper and soprano Mary Bevan for a programme of Bach, Handel and Mozart.
