Director Polly Grahfinalist-logo-2017am has been nominated in the Newcomer category of the 2017 International Opera Awards. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 7 at The London Coliseum. Polly Graham’s production of Frank Martin Le Vin Herbé for Welsh National Opera opens at the Wales Millennium Centre on February 16.

Simon Bejer, designer hi resDesigner Simon Bejer will provide sets and costumes for Krešimir Dolenčić’s staging of The Love for Three Oranges in Zagreb. The production opens at the Croatian National Theatre on February 17 with further performances on February 21, 23, 25 and 28. More about the production.

Tenor Samuel Boden will create a role in George Benjamin and Martin Crimp’s next opera, Lessons in Love and Violence at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden. The World Premiere takes place in May 2018 in a production by Katie Mitchell, conducted by the composer. More about the new work.
