Tenor Samuel Boden’s interpretation of the title role of Cavalli’s L’Ormindo can be heard on BBC Radio 3 for a week from later today. The Royal Opera/Globe Theatre co-production at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse has been a wild success: Samuel Boden’s dreamy Ormindo – The Guardian; …led by the vocally remarkable Sam Boden in the title role – New York Times; My laurels ulimately go to Boden’s seductive, cheeky Ormindo – The Times.
Plans for a revival next season are well advanced. Book early to avoid disappointment.
