Soprano Cyndia Sieden will take the role of Ariel in Keith Warner’s new production of  Thomas Adès’ The Tempest for Oper Frankfurt conducted by Johannes Debus. The production opens on January 10 with further performances on January 15, 17, 23, 29 and February 6. More details…
Ms Sieden received great acclaim for her interpretation of the role in the first production of the opera at The Royal Opera House under the composer. EMI have recently released a recording featuring the original cast:

The first performance at the Cathedral of St Paul  is followed by appearances on December 11 at the Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis and December 13 (matinée) at Orchestral Hall,  Minneapolis.
